E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 5" weight driven 8 day time only, grained cherry case banjo clock, c1890
CONDITION:
the old finish retains its graining, and there are no obvious losses or damage to the case. The lower glass has been restored with the wrong pattern. The painted metal dial has the expected faint crackling and some loss to signature. The lower weight baffle is missing, but the circular pattern remains on the pendulum bob. The old weight has "5" cast into it. The signed movement should be cleaned and a new weight cord installed. Ht 28 1/2"
